Agenda
How should we live well?” This question served as the starting point of the design. Rather than simply creating a vertical farm for crop production, the project proposes a multifaceted ecological space where local residents can cultivate both physical and mental well-being. Buildings 1 and 2 function as high-efficiency vertical farms using aeroponic systems, while an aquaponic waterway flows between them and the cultural facility in Building 3, organically connecting the two zones. This water element not only forms the outdoor environment but also elevates the architecture, blurs boundaries, and invites a transparent and dynamic spatial experience.
The architecture follows a “house in house” concept, structured around three core layers: Facade / Local / Vertical Farm. The outer shell, composed of trusses and polycarbonate panels, houses programs that promote physical wellness, such as a local market and sports zones. Inside the inner shell, spaces like the community center, cooking classrooms, and the vertical farm itself support mental wellness. Altogether, this is more than a production facility—it is an architectural narrative that explores a healthier way of living together within the local community.
